You can be happy even if you don't know Gundam.
It's very fun for a Gundam fan like me, even if you don't know the series at all, you can still enjoy the game. Overall, I really like this game.

You'll playing this game for 40 to 50 hours if you're trying to the trophies,even longer if you want every base game unit. Beware though,you'll have to tried the SAME levels multiple times for the stronger mid to end game units though and that require A LOT of grinding.
