Xbox Live Gold has evolved into Game Pass Core, offering you an unparalleled gaming journey. Xbox Game Pass Core gives players access to the online console multiplayer network, a select collection of over 25 high-quality games to play with friends around the world plus special member deals.

If you were previously an Xbox Live Gold member, your membership automatically transitioned to Xbox Game Pass Core. You will continue getting the benefits of online console multiplayer, plus if you have an Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One console you’ll get access to over 25 high-quality console games at no extra cost.

Games with Gold has been discontinued, but you will still be able to access any games you redeemed in the past through Games with Gold as long as you are a current Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate member.

I bought a code and am not able to redeem it. It is for a different region than where I am. So far customer service has not been able to help me out.

You will receive 4 (3 month codes) which can all be added back to back to equal 12 months of service. From what I have researched you can’t do more than 12 months for redeeming codes. Overall great price for 12 month of Xbox live.
