it adds various new factions and a whole new campaign map each of them very different from eatchother, the graphics seem to be a lot better too compared to the second and the UI has been updated and overall looks better, AI cheating has been removed from higher difficulty's resulting in a more enjoyable realistic campaign, by pre ordering you also receive the Ogre kingdoms dlc that is also a fun faction to play as . there is also a 8 player coop, campaign specially designed for coop. there is a smaller 3 player coop that is tons of fun and very difficult, there will be a final mortal empires dlc sometime during the year that will add a campaign map from all 3 games with all factions for a total of 28 factions playable. that is an immense amount of variety.
Overall this game is worth every single penny and you wont regret it if you enjoyed wh2 or 1
