ABOUT THE GAME

An epic, open-ended single-player RPG, Morrowind allows you to create and play any kind of character imaginable. You can choose to follow the main storyline and find the source of the evil blight that plagues the land, or set off on your own to explore strange locations and develop your character based on their actions throughout the game. Featuring stunning 3D graphics, open-ended gameplay, and an incredible level of detail and interactivity, Morrowind offers a gameplay experience like no other.

In Tribunal, you journey to the capital city of Morrowind, called Mournhold, to meet the other two god-kings of Morrowind, Almalexia and Sotha Sil. Your journey will lead you to the Clockwork City of Sotha Sil and massive, epic-sized dungeons, where strange and deadly creatures await you, including goblins, lich lords, and the mysterious Fabricants.

Bloodmoon takes you to the frozen Island of Solstheim where you'll experience snow, blizzards, and new creatures, including frost trolls, ice minions, and wolves... just to name a few. You'll have a choice of stories to follow and have the opportunity to defend the colony, take control over how the colony is built up, and eliminate the werewolves. Or, you can decide to join the werewolves and become one of them, opening up a whole new style of gameplay.

Players can take their existing Morrowind characters and save games and continue their adventures in the Morrowind GotY edition

Possibly THE BEST game I have ever experienced.
While Morrowind is most definitely a video game, I think the term "experience" is much more fitting. Rarely does a game achieve the level of immersion Morrowind does. The surreal world design is breathtaking, and the music adds to the effect for an amazing combination that really draws you in. Some gameplay mechanics, such as using your weapon may seem off-putting or maybe quirky at first to newcomers, but works and makes sense in the long run. I played this back in it's day when it was on store shelves, and have put hundreds of hours into Skyrim as well as Oblivion. I would consider Oblivion to be somewhere in between Morrowind and Skyrim in terms of depth, but Morrwind GOTY edition will make skyrim feel like a basic B***. This game is a treat for ANY RPG fan and should not be missed. Did I mention the Construction set basically allows access to developer level tools to essentially create new content or edit the existing game in any way you see fit? Essentially you could create an entire new game ad play it, or add your own expansions, weapons, NPC's, worlds....everything. The construction Set itself could be an entirely separate product.

One of The Best
The game is fantastic but it has not aged well. I definitely recommend modding the game if it's your first playthrough but it has an amazing world, good story, and lots of freedom to do what you want.

Morrowind, Magnificent
Morrowind is a huge throw back, its the first game in the elder scrolls series, I put it off for a while as its hard to get into but once you have the lay of the land and story the outdated graphics are easily looked passed.
