- 50Reviewed by WoeffiCould be better, could be worseThere's no reason to play Rise over Monster Hunter World; it's the Dark Souls II of Monster Hunter. The Pros
- Great Gameplay
- More monsters than MH:World
- Mounts
- Grapple hook
- Dogs can be petted
- 100Reviewed by RioMHWreally good game i enjoyed it
- 75Reviewed by CharlesGood but not as good as WorldThe game is definitely fun, but got repetitive much earlier than MH World. Also weapons seem to lack "weight", which makes hunting-horning less enjoyable.
- 100Reviewed by ShadowAwesome gameI really enjoy this game i haven't played monster hunter in years so its nice to play this franchise again

- - Good for newcomers
The Cons- - Rampage quests are... a choice
- - Not as fun alone

The Cons- nothing not nice lol
- 100Reviewed by Reaper21cGood enough got it for pc after switchRise for me was abnormally my intro into Monster Hunter, wow lots of wasted time not having fun with a series that was obviously well enj, oyed by gamers. I loved rise, and it ended up transfering to Riders Stories 2, World and all Expansions.
Im not going to pick a fav cause it kind of depends on the mood. Turn base Stories 2, Full giant world of adhd cyber squirrels to get lost in, and if I want some diverse great exploration (with sunbreak still exporing the new areas) and want to hunt Rise and Sunbreak.
The biggest point- Rise brought me to everything when I hadn't been pulled in to that world yet. It was a purchase to play on my daughters switch for a long plane trip and became a cross platform player for experiences. The biggest benefit without having dove in yet on pc version that I am excited for is the multiplayer gameplay now without the switch communication missing element.
That being said if I couldnt have got the games on pc without cdkeys.com and not joking. Games that you need to buy for every platform when your a lifelong gamer is something that is high selectivity due to cost. CDKeys saves me enough to get multiple games I wanted for PC & not have to debate between what I want more, or which I want to have for my PC to play with kb+m more (or all the other reasons like ffvii intergrade did where ps4 blocked it so buy a PS5 just to play the expansion?)
The industry has lots of situations in common, good to have deals that make it more reasonable. The Pros- Switch version not being able to communicate without another device.
The Cons- No Cross-Save, capcom posted on twitter that it was not gonna happen, hope that changes.
- 100Reviewed by RunUpCrustBest monster hunter to start withThis game is Monster Hunter World but on turbo cocaine, you can zoom around the map no problem cause of the slingshot mechanics, the palicos are goddamn wonderful AND you get a mount right at the start.
If youre having trouble with weapon mechanics or something i recommend watching a guide, theres no shame in it, the game is goddamn hard for the first couple hours. Also dont do HUB quests solo, you will die. Also get stuff from the mailman, the event messages are actually DLC items that will help you out earlygame.
Key delivery was fast and easy, banger price too, mega recommend. The Pros- NEW MOVEMENT MECHANICS
- 14 weapons each with switchable skills
- huge assortment of companions
The Cons- Overwhelming ammount of systems, tutorials, system messages
- Non intuitive mailman system
- 100Reviewed by ChesterYou can't go wrong with monster hunterBought it for me. Ended up buying another copy for my wife because of the palicoes.
Also the endless hunting is niceThe Pros- Palicoes
The Cons- Nothing
- 100Reviewed by VanessaExactly what is advertised.Exactly the game that is advertised. Super easy to get the keys and redeem them. Thank you for making my experience so pleasant. The Pros

- 100Reviewed by Van EldinQuick gampelayThis Monster Hunter is the quickest entry on the series, the wirebug mechanic gives to the hunter new cool moves to slay or capture some monstersThe Pros
- all that a MH game already have but better
The Cons- Too much dangos
- 100Reviewed by HelenBest Monhun game to start withInsane QoL fixes and extremely fun gameplay, definitely recommend. It has a few glitches considering the port and multiplayer server is a bit iffy, but overall an excellent game. Toot horn players unite! The Pros
- Doggo
The Cons- multiplayer connection
- 100Reviewed by JosephVery good entry to the seriesFun game, you feel like ninja with the speed and fluidity of the game. It's even more fun with Sunbreak cause of the content being addedThe Pros
- Gameplay, Fun grind no boring or long
The Cons- No Lao Shan
- 100Reviewed by MrTokatsuGood GameIt's an exciting game.
The game has fast battles and the NPCs are very smart.
There were too few monsters. I want more. The Pros- The game has fast battles and the NPCs are very smart.
The Cons- There were too few monsters.
- 75Reviewed by D3adRoseGood GameGame is really good and managed to pick it up for only £23 rather than the normal £60 for the deluxe version. really happy with this game and enjoy playing when i got nothing to do :)The Pros
- very long game wont get bored.
The Cons- nothing.
- 100Reviewed by kevinMonster Hunter Rise is great.got this game on the switch but didn't realize that it was on pc. didnt want to pay 60 so I got it here:)The Pros
- fun game, lots of stuff to do
- 100Reviewed by WasawatMonster Hunter RiseGood qualities. The Graphic in Steam is pretty good, and so much fun. If you want to relax, this game may answer that.
- 100Reviewed by uvmeMONSTER HUNTER RISEThis PC port improves massively on the Switch original in every regard, be it visual or performance-wise, whilst providing a complete experience with every previously released piece of content. I expect I will be playing this for years to come. The Pros
- New, versatile movement abilities expand combat and exploration
- Reviewed by BETAWORLDMHR IS MAYBE GOOD.MONSTER HUNTER RISE IS FANTASTIC TO PLAY BEFORE GET TO BED IT ACTUALLY MAKE YOU FEEL COMFORT AND VERY SLEEPY. I RECOMMEND YOU TO PLAY ALONE FOR THE MOST EXPERIENCE OF THE GAMEPLAY.The Pros
- RELAX AND SLEEPY
The Cons- WHERE ARE MY FRIENDS?
- Reviewed by LesterAn alternative Monster hunterThis game definitely goes back in forth in terms of gameplay. Firstly monster hunting takes half as long as MHW so it might not be for the people who really like the drawn out battle. The game is definitely more vertically focused than MHW it might be experienced as a negative. That being said i do think it is a nice change the fighting mechanics have changed here and there for it to be faster paced. Considering you have a mount and more ways to approach a monster is definitely fun.The Pros
- -faster paced
- -Japan focused
- -evolved mechanics for
- -more ways to engage
- -co-op is accessible
The Cons- -first 2 maps are focused on verticality
- -no crossplay

- 100Reviewed by RodelOne of the best gamesI have spent a lot of time playing Monster Hunter games and I have followed since its first release, Monster Hunter is my favorite. The Pros
- Love everything.
The Cons- I will have to put the previous platforms and MH games I have aside maybe for years.
- Reviewed by burgerlexMonster Hunter: Rise; Quick and Honest ReviewGreat game. One of the best in the series in terms of innovation to overall combat and map mobility. Good on the Nintendo Switch, but pleasing on the PC.
The bad is the $60 starting price for a mobile port is by far the biggest slap in the face. The Pros- Visuals and innovative simplicity
The Cons- Retail price
- Reviewed by Baka FrgollusMonster Hunter Rise Is Nice for Co-opHonestly if you want co-op with your buddies while being in a chilled laid-back game mode, this is the one, plus unlike Moster Hunter World, there is no force cutcenses, just finish the village tutorial and you're off.The Pros
- Great Co-op from the start of it being unlock
- No Cuts
- Reviewed by AndrasFun, fairly similar to WorldThe game is really fun solo, even more so than World which, to me, wasn't as fun solo. The game still has a big part in regards with online play and playing with friends, and likely is more fun that way. The music is good, the intros to new areas are fun, the overall style is in my mind better than what World offered, and overall it's a solid Switch port. One negative I can think of is the fact that there aren't nearly as many mods for the game yet, and there also isn't a nice relaxing bath like there was in World, nor can you upgrade your room like in World. The Pros
- Good music, fun intros to new areas.
- Fairly good monster designs.
- Reminiscent of the Edo period.
The Cons- No room upgrading.
- Not really an improvement on World, more so for fans of the series.
- Reviewed by JakazumireviewIt´s really a great game but some things are better at Monster hunter world. But still great game after all.The Pros
- a good amount of actions in game
The Cons- sometimes the combat is buggy but thats alright
- Reviewed by HanAll about hunting!!hunting monster is never ending and you gonna love this game, no lying.
- 75Reviewed by AndresSimplier than World but still Monster Hunteri will say that with the title i say enough feels like Capcom is trying to make a mixture of what World was with the game structure that the classic monster hunter games got about the village quests and the gathering hub quests but with the mobility that World applied to the saga i will still recommend the game to friends but is in a under level to what World was graphically cannot blame it it was supposed to be a game of the franchise in Switch but i don't feel that inmmersion i felt with World
- 75Reviewed by JoshuaThe game was greatEnjoyed my first few hours of the game because it wasn't that demanding of a graphics that I did some mission first the game is really same as the old series one like the DS, and PS just straight up missions and some talk. The Pros
- Waifu everywhere
- New Moves
The Cons- More DLC
- 100Reviewed by JohnnyGreat GameI purchased it on switch, and was able to get a great price for PC. Definitely would recommend for new and veteran hunters.
- 50Reviewed by HlebkaAn extremely inferior successor to WorldRise is not by any merit a bad game, but it's worse than World and much worse than MHW+IB by amount of effort put in the game and by the amount of content it has.
And the worst out of all is the full price Capcom is asking for it, making the game even a bigger ripoff.
Good
Some monsters are really fun to fight compared to World (Narga,Zinogre,Rathalos,Jyuratodus, Teo).
Bigger variety of monster types in general, but only in low tier.
New weapon moves with wirebug can be fun.
Bad
another delayed port from Capcom with some serious bugs on release day.
Amount of lategame content is just pathetic and there is almost no actual reason to grind.
99% of events have monsters copypasted from main game and give layered or stickers/poses without any new usuable gear to farm.
No beta/alpha armor variants which makes theorycrafting extremely limited and boring, only ONE set of armor visually for both LR and HR which makes fashioncrafting also very limited.
Port isn't looking graphically tuned and doesn't differ from switch version, just higher resolution and uncapped framerate.
Visually game looks dated with washed up color palette and loses in graphic quality to the 4 years old game - MHW.
All music themes ruined by vocal tracks and choir bits, the production quality is also really low(new composer who never worked on MH game).
Tiny maps, not new but redesigned from previous MH games. The absence of endemic life, small size an makes it look a reskinned arena where you fight monsters rather than immersive part of the world.
Kamura hub feels cheesy - there is no day/night cycle, it's really small even for a village with very few NPCs and feels like everything in it was created just to serve you. The food theme Capcom picked for the game is also one of the lamest ones - dango - colored dumpling on a stick.
The new gimmick - wyvern riding breaks the flow of the game and forced on you really hard compared to previous games where in most cases you could just not mount or not use the CC.
Wirefall escape skill that gives you an ability to reposition really fast after being knocked back - removes a lot of challenge from the game. Just ignoring it is impossible since some monsters have attacks that require using wirefall to not get comboed on the ground or in the air.
Extremely streamlined gameplay where you can run around on the dog and sharpen during the fight, can get into the fight with the monster in seconds after spawning, mine nodes with one hit, don't need hot/cold drinks, can zip easily from one part of the map to another and don't need to actually "hunt" monster and keep research levels maxed out - you only need to see the monster once and then its movement and position will always be visible on the map - could have easily renamed the game to Monster Fighter.
A lot of pandering to the japanese audience which can be a good thing but here it just panders way too much.
New gimmick defense mode is boring and can't be ignored.
Downgraded multiplayer with only 4 player lobby.
Monster icons lost their visual clarity just to look like japanese painting.
really basic fonts existing along with heavily stylized ones which looks jarring.
Giant unscalable UI with shadows that obstruct the view with half of UI elements being Lowres with visible jaggies and some are high res, looks weird and bad.
I suggest this game to people who REALLY starving for a Monster Hunter game and played MHW for thousands of hours like me. Brace yourselves for the worse experience than World in pretty much every regard.
For other people - wait for at least 40% sale, it will happen sooner than you think. The Pros- monster variety
- new weapon moves
The Cons- no endgame content
- No b/a armor
- an upscaled 3DS game
- Downgraded multiplayer
- streamlined gameplay
- 100Reviewed by nhanNice gameGame is great, graphics is awesome, best $40 ever spent, great sequel to the Monster Hunter franchise, hope to see CD Keys thrive
The Pros- Graphic, Art
The Cons- n/a
- 75Reviewed by SensoNoKageSUPER FUN, i wish there was crossplay tho :cthis game is really fun and it's worth le moneey, but if only the developers will just add crossplay, it would've been so much more funThe Pros
- 1- Graphics
- 2- new gameplay
- -beautiful animations and exciting gameplay
The Cons- 1- Lot of paid DLCs (they got more greedy)
- 2-no cross-play at all.
- 100Reviewed by FishMuch better than Switch versionGreat improvement with PC hardware
I am an old hunter from the ancient Monster Hunter Portable and played every version on PSP and Nintendo handheld consoles... until I played Monster Hunter World.... Now MHR is on PC i can enjoy the game on a BIGGER screeeeeen yay! :)The Pros- Better graphic
- Higher resolution
The Cons- Too long to wait for DLC on summer
- Tanti nuovi mostri
- Atmosfera giapponese
- Belle musiche
The Cons- Pochi contenuti rispetto ad altri capitoli della serie
- Graficamente resta inferiore a World
- 100Reviewed by WhyRFUn WITH friendThe best game to play solo sometimes and more more fun when you play with friend.
- 100Reviewed by ElijahMHRA very good port for an already very good, having owned and played the switch version quite a bit the game is essentially a more polished version of that variant. Definitely a good buy if you're a fan of the MonHun franchise even if you already own the switch version. The Pros

- Good FPS
The Cons- Game crashes if you take to long during character creation (will hopefully get addressed soon)

The Pros- Hunting
The Cons- We moesten 9e maanden en 29 dagen wachten op deze pc versie
- 75Reviewed by XibaGood on Switchi played it on switch, it was good. i still think world is better but only becouse there is stuf to do in endgame, in rise you have to wait for the dlc.The Pros

The Cons- decorations have to be craftet, charms are now random, no real endgame
- 100Reviewed by Tylerfungame is a lot of fun but some quest are better with friends to get mechanics down before attempting solo
- 100Reviewed by KasparOne of the Best MH Titles yetRuns with 1440p ca. 200 fps all maxed out (rtx 3080) , new mechanics are a lot of fun. Multiplayer is as good als always.
