In Dead Space™ 2, you join Isaac Clarke, the Systems Engineer from Dead Space, as he wakes up three years after the horrific events on the USG Ishimura. The Ishimura was a Planetcracker-class starship besieged by grotesque reanimations of its dead crew, known as “Necromorphs.”

After unearthing a strange artifact known as the Marker, Isaac finds himself on the Sprawl, a giant space station in orbit around Saturn. Unable to remember how he got here and plagued with demented visions of his dead girlfriend Nicole, he must survive another nightmarish outbreak of Necromorphs as he fights his way towards an answer he hopes will end all the chaos.

Dead Space 2 Review
Picked this up for 19p, unbelievable value for one of the great horro games ever. 12 years old and still looks and plays like a modern game.

Dead Space 2 is an amazing game. I'm going to write about its scary moments, cool kills, and how much I dig the main character's internal struggle, but Dead Space 2 is about more than this. When I beat it for the first time, I sat on the couch with my heart racing and dissected the journey I had just taken. Then, I started my second playthrough, and when that was done, I jumped into a new game for the third time. Dead Space 2 is just that good.

this was my second horror game after the original resident evil to really scare me. you have to mark your surroundings so as no be caught by surprise

Absolute horror classic
I have been a fan of the Dead Space series for a long time and I feel that this game was the pinnacle of the series success. It takes the classic survival horror formula from previous horror titles and puts its own Dead Space spin on it. It builds on the first game in a lot of ways, graphical enhancements, a more detailed narrative with memorable characters, and the best of all the combat. The game is far more fluid than its predecessor while also keeping those tense moments that Dead Space is famous for. The game oozes atmosphere and the attention to detail is incredible especially for a game as old as this. Playing it today it does not feel out of place and holds up for the most part. If you have never tried this game out of then do yourself a favor and give it a go, for me, it's a classic and it's a shame we haven't seen a new Dead Space in such a long time. Have fun!
